Margery L. S. Gass, MD

Margery L. S. Gass completed a medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Her postdoctoral training included an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Dr. Gass is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the International Society of Clinical Densitometry and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of several professional societies, including the American Medical Association, the North American Menopause Society, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the International Menopause Society, and the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research. Additionally, Dr. Gass is a member of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Advisory Council for Complementary and Alternative Medicine and the NIH Women's Health Initiative Study's Presentations & Publications Committee. In 2004, Dr. Gass received the DePauw University Distinguished Alumni Award for Professional Achievement.
Dr. Gass has published numerous articles and abstracts in the peer–reviewed literature and has authored several book chapters. She has lectured nationally and internationally on topics relating to osteoporosis, menopause, and women's health. Dr. Gass's research interests include menopause, hormone therapy, osteoporosis, and female sexuality. She is principal investigator at the Cincinnati site of the Women's Health Initiative.
