Overview
The purpose of Point of Care CME on OsteoporosisTX.com is to provide structured, self-directed, online learning on topics in osteoporosis that are relevant to clinical practice. It is a reflective process in which participants document their clinical question, the sources they consulted, the answers they found, and how they applied (or planned to apply) these answers to their practices.

Method of Participation
There is a three-step process for participating in Point of Care CME on OsteoporosisTX.com:

  • Step 1: Record the clinical question
  • Step 2: Search for an answer on OsteoporosisTX.com or other recommended sites
  • Step 3: Complete the Point of Care CME application form

After the completed Point of Care CME application form has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Curatio CME and Scientific Services Departments. Participants whose applications are approved will receive an e-mail containing instructions for printing a CME certificate for 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™.

There are no fees for participating in this CME activity.

Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the current educational needs of health care professionals in endocrinology, rheumatology, obstetrics and gynecology, and primary care who treat patients who have or are at risk for osteoporosis.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Provide and explain the answer obtained for the identified clinical question
  • Summarize the evidence used and information obtained in answering the identified clinical question
  • Apply in professional practice the answer obtained for the identified clinical question

Accreditation Statement
Curatio CME Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Credit Designation
Curatio CME Institute designates this educational activity for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™ per clinical question. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
